DIY builds

DIY cold plunge builds, one at a time: the bathtub you already own, a cooler, a stock tank and a home-made chiller. Costs and steps from owner reports.

A DIY cold plunge is one you put together yourself, from the bathtub you already own up to a plumbed stock tank with a chiller. This section takes the builds one at a time. The full parts list, the costs and the five routes side by side are in the DIY cold plunge tub.

We have not built any of these. Each page is assembled from what owners report on the r/coldplunge forum, from makers’ specs and from our own arithmetic, and it says which is which. How we review explains the method.
